Several weeks of negotiations between the Sudan Armed Forces and Misseriya Arab tribesmen in Nyama in West Kordofan have failed to make a breakthrough after bloodshed last month. Tensions threaten the stability of a critical area adjoining the Nuba Mountains, Darfur and Abyei.
